American Industrial Hygiene Conference

Kim Watson, RQAP-GLP will be giving a presentation on operational and strategic planning in laboratories at the American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Expo (AIHce) on June 6, 2017. This year's AIHce, cosponsored by the American International Health Alliance and the Association Advancing Occupational and Environmental Health, will offer a selection of educational courses and sessions developed for laboratory personnel and persons interested in improving their knowledge of laboratory testing and analysis.

The following topics will be covered during this presentation:

  • Overcoming our Legacy Concerns – Embracing Mobile and Field Sampling and Measurement Organizations. Laboratory sampling and measurements are increasingly moving away from brick and mortar laboratories. Although our traditional laboratories will remain for the foreseeable future, we need to understand the role of portable laboratory measurements.
  • How do emerging Sensor technologies Impact the Laboratory Community? The advances in sensor technologies are putting pressure on our normal laboratory generation of exposure assessment data. What is the current state of technology and what impact will it really have on the laboratory and industrial hygiene community
  • Getting Your Message Out and Understood. Honing your communication skills is important in getting your message across to any audience. How you communicate to various audiences is the key to success.
