Automated Probabilistic Co-Occurrence Assessment Tool

The Automated Probabilistic Co-Occurrence Assessment Tool (APCOAT) is designed to rapidly produce reports on spatial co-occurrence between endangered species habitats and pesticide applications in both terrestrial and aquatic environments. To generate pesticide usage footprints, APCOAT applies the best publicly available pesticide usage data to compile cropping footprints. Habitats are modeled using species observation records provided by the user and environmental predictor variables included with the software. Once the pesticide usage and habitat datasets are prepared, they are multiplied, and their spatial co-occurrence is summarized in automated reports and maps.
