Announcing a Transition at StoneOn behalf of Stone Environmental’s Board of Directors, we are pleased to the announce the appointment of John Hanzas as President and Michael Winchell as Vice President. While stepping down from their current executive positions, Founder and President, Christopher Stone and Vice President, David Healy, will remain at Stone as senior executive and technical consultants, as well as continue to serve on the Board of Directors. All of these changes will become effective July 1, 2017. |

Flow Restoration Planning for the Englesby Brook Watershed, Burlington, VermontWorking with the City of Burlington, Stone and an engineering partner team developed a flow restoration plan for Englesby Brook. The plan laid out a long-term stormwater retrofit plan to reduce high stormwater flows and improve overall water quality in this urban stream. We took a stepwise approach to identifying potential BMP sites or upgrades with the fewest overall technical, regulatory, and operational constraints, in order to arrive at a practical and cost-effective suite of practices that may achieve the flow restoration targets. |
