Stone Quality Manager Explores Field Trial Deviation at NAICC Annual Meeting

Jan 29, 2026

In January 2026, Stone Quality Assurance Manager Jennifer Cypher made a presentation at the annual meeting of the National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants, in Orlando, Florida, which she described as practical guidance on reducing preventable deviations in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) field trials.

"Rooted in Quality: Preventing Deviations Before They Sprout," focused on the root causes behind common issues. She explored how ambiguity, assumed knowledge, and unrealistic instructions in protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) can lead to unnecessary errors and inefficiencies.

Through real-world examples, Jennifer also outlined actionable strategies for strengthening protocol and SOP design, emphasizing clarity, usability, and alignment with field conditions. The session was designed to equip teams with approaches to improve documentation quality, support consistent execution, and minimize costly deviations across studies.
